Oh Baby: I Peter 2: 2-3

Sunday again - today we are having our Back to School Bash for our children and grandchildren. A fun lake day to play and enjoy each other. A day to thank God for his very many Blessings. We, at Stampin' Sisters in Christ count you as some of our blessings!

The ever sweet Sandie is the challenge hostess this week and she chose a verse from I Peter 2:2-3. Be sure to read her devotion for this week over on SSIC, I am sure it will be wonderful!
"...as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious."
Today at mass a baby was baptized during the service. It was so beautiful. Jerry and I teach the baptism classes at our parish and we were able to get to know this sweet young couple. After the service we went over to talk to them and their 2 year old and the sweet baby. As I hugged the proud and happy dad he whispered that they would be back for another class in about a year. He was beaming - another baby is coming! The mom is also very, very happy. That is how we should be whenever we hear the Word - whether it be through a church service or reading or just experiencing those moments that have us Thanking God!

This baby card was fun to make - what is not fun when it comes to babies! I love the colors too. The little scene was made from a stamp set from TCM called Sending You Sunshine. I did a little paper piecing  and a little glitter pen and some stickles. It was just a fun card!

The challenge this week is; to make something "Baby" OR All (only) pastels

This week our sponsor is Denami Design. Be sure to stop and browse the wonderful stamps. The flower image on my card is one of theirs.

Don't forget to stop by my SSIC design sisters (listed on the sidebar) to see what they have to share this week.
It is always great to see you, thanks for the comments and have a wonderful week surrounded with God's love.

Pure sweetness, Miesje! Love your card. I'm crazy over paper-piecing and your use of it is so cute. The dotted swiss embossed background is perfect for a baby card, and love the pin embellie! Totally cute! Have a blessed week, sister. Praying God fills your days with sweetness too!

Hi Miesje! What a GORGEOUS baby card--so sweet and everything about it is absolutely perfect!! (love those tiny pearls on the blankie)

Oh, I bet you're having such a wonderful day with all the kiddos today!! I hope it all goes well and you treasure that time spent. How fun to make it an annual event. I hope when my girls grow up that they don't move too far away so we can make new family traditions together! Hope your first week back to school goes well!
Hugs,
kris

Hi Miesje: I just LOVED the challenge at Stampin Sisters this week and even entered twice. I love DeNami Designs too, so I am very hopeful this week.

I noticed that you didn't link up yet at Word Art Wednesday this week, and just wanted to make sure that you and your family are all doing well. Of course I'd love to have you play along, but I really hope all is well. I hope to see you soon.

Let me know if I can pray for you or your family, and just know that I really care.

Have a blessed week.
