Another week has flown by and once again it is time for another challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ.
This week it is sweet Grace who challenges us with this verse from Matthew 6:6
"But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you."
Going into my inner room to pray. I talk to God all the time. In the car - down by the lake - when I am going to bed - and when I first wake up. I have praised and cried and begged and accepted. These are all prayers. Amazingly enough, He always listens and He always rewards me although not always in ways that I anticipate.
This week Grace really gives us a challenge, she asks us to create a card or project that has something hidden from first view. It could be many things... an envelope, a pull out, doors that open to reveal something, anything that you don't see at first glance. I have to admit this was a difficult one for me. Let's see what you come up with.
I made this card using 2 stamps that I won on ODBD called Tulip Tag set and Tulip Corner. I love them. I have to be honest and it took be several tries to get this right. I dry embossed the Ivory CS and then used some Victorian Velvet Distress Ink to lightly sponge over it. I used gold embossing for the tulips and then colored them in using Copics. The scalloped edges are with some SU designer paper.
Our sponsor this week is Our Daily Bread Designs with a $15 gift certificate.

This is stunning Miesje!! Gorgeous Easter pocket card with the design and embossing. I just love your tulips. Perfect for this week's ODBD Shining the Light challenge this week!
I also enjoy your insight on the scripture. God does always listen even though sometimes we think He does not. He answers in ways we don't anticipate. TFS!
Have a great Sunday and week!
hugs,
Chris

Lovely! Thanks for playing along at Card Cupids!
Your card is awesome! I love the stamping and the little tag pull out.
Sweet design.
Thanks for sharing! :)
Miesje, your card is stunning and I love the stamp sets you chose...gotta get in gear and get them ;D. I love your insight on prayer and where you do it. I feel the same way, it is amazing that you can be in the grocery store walking down the isle and God is right there. Oh, and it is so true, sometimes we get an answer to our prayer in ways not thought of ;D. Have a blessed week!! Hugs, Sabrina
Miesje, this little pocket card is beautiful! The colors are perfect and so is the coloring!! Love the embossed tulips! And the tag would be a beautiful bookmark. Love everything! :0)
Your card is perfect!
This is beautiful Miesje! Love what you did with the stamps nad that pretty scallop trim at the back. I do that too, particularly the crying in the car while i pray, when I'm alone, that way I don't alarm anyone else. :)
