"They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength, they will soar as with eagle's wings; they will run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint." (New American Bible)My husband and I attend Mass every Saturday night. Tonight the homily (sermon) was taken from the book of Luke 12: 13-21. The way it was shared was really what I took away. It is that we want to accumulate so much more than what we need. Not that we acquired it dishonestly or that we worship what we have - but that we think we need for the future. It is a form of security. Where my mind went was - um - stamps and all that goes with it. I am going to have to reflect on this some more. Isn't it amazing how often what is heard at church seems to speak directly to us? I should be like the baby birds - knowing that God will provide ALL that I need!
The sketch I used is for the Priscilla Midnight Madness MMSC64. Great sketch!
Have a wonderful week dear friends!

This card turned out so cute, Miesje! What a great idea to use the branches embossing folder for your background!
Yes, we do get carried away with loving our stamps (and other material things), but God wants us to be happy and to share our talents with others. As long as we don't go too far afield, I think He's okay with it!
Hugs,
Lisa

Beautiful!!! Love the baby birds and the verse!!
Loved your devotional today. I heard the same type of homily and God knows he made me human and fall prey to all the wants and desires of every creative person, but thank goodness we have the Holy Spirit to guide us and keep things in perspective.
Your card is beautiful and has outstanding design elements. Thanks for sharing today!
