CSS Sketch Blog Hop

It is time for another Stamp TV CSS Blog Hop. This is a very busy time of the year for all of us and while I was trying to come of with the card for tonight's blog hop I thought of peace and quiet and serenity - none of which are a part of my life right now!  This time the blog hop is a sketch challenge, my favorite challenges! Here was the sketch:

And this is the card I made.

You should have arrived from Melissa Schultz blog and since she is so incredibly creative I am sure that you were wowed!  If you want to start at the beginning  or get lost along the way, just head on over to the home page of StampTV or directly over to the start of the blog hop here.

I really wanted a wintry card for this so I knew I would go with blues. The patterned paper came in the StampTV kit Winter Wonderland, the two trees that I stamped did also. I love the deer that is looking rather startled, he is from Theresa Momber's  set called Life is Good. I really like mixing stamp sets and these worked well together. I stamped the images on Gina K's Pure Luxury In the Navy card stock with Versamark and then embossed with Embossing Tinsel. In real life the embossing sparkles really well. I tore some white CS to make the snow and used a Versamark pen to make snow (or stars).  I used two oval shaped Nestabilities for the focal image and chose not to use a sentiment. The snowflakes were in my "winter stash" box and the bow was made with Bow Easy. I placed a few gems to add more sparkle.

Now hop on over to visit Peggy Wainman for what I am sure will be another amazing card. Thanks for hopping along with us and for the kind comments you leave. Happy Holidays to all of you.

I  also am entering this card in the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamps: Christmas card with no red or green
Catch the Bug: Winter Scene

Nothing like white/silver/sparkle embossing on navy blue CS to really give the feel of a winter scene. Love the way you used the trees and the deer, mixing stamps from different sets. This card really shows off the versatility of Gina's stamp sets!
