Counting Blessings: Isaiah 40:8

My goodness this was a busy week, I can't believe that this is the only card I made! At least I have the card for another challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ.

This week it is wonderful Chris who challenges with this verse from Isaiah 40:8.

6. A voice says, "Cry out!" I answer, "What shall I cry out?" "All mankind is grass, and all their glory like the flower of the field. 7. The grass withers, the flower wilts, when the breath of the Lord blows upon it. [so then, the people is the grass]  8. Though the grass withers and the flower wilts, the word of our God stands forever." New American Bible Saint Joseph Edition
I really had to type out a couple of verses before verse 8 because that completed it for me. In my Bible the phrase [so then, the people is the grass] kind of struck me. I opened up my blog post with what a busy week I had, and I have a busy weekend too. Friday night I really felt physically wilted. My brother is here visiting and I have no energy left. Yet, last night my brother and I had the most wonderful conversation. My husband was at choir practice and so just the 2 of us had an opportunity to share. I really needed that time. Today I feel much more like a flower.

The challenge this week is to create a card or project that has a stamped flower on it. Flowers on DP will not do - must be stamped.

Our sponsor this week is Clear Dollar Stamps with a $15 gift certificate.

Be sure to stop by my SSIC design sisters to see what they have to share this week:

Grace Nywening: Th-INK-ing of You
Lisa Hjulberg: The Craft's Meow
Peggysue Turner: Roses By My Window
Rebekka Reed: Diamond in the Rough
Kristine Breach: Ink Something
MariLynn DeGroot - Mississippi McGyver
Sabrina Jackson - SJ Butterfly Dreams
Randi Barret: A New Creation (On break)

So glad you stopped by today. Have a wonderful week filled with blessings.

This is stunning Meisje! Just love your use of the flower and your colors with the flower soft. The lace, the pearls and the woven ribbon add such elegance.

This would work for the ivory and yellow challenge at ODBD this week.

Have a blessed Sunday!
hugs,
Chris

Awwww....so glad that you and your brother are having a nice visit! When our grown children are home for visits, I sit up all hours of the night with them, talking, praying, laughing - I know what you mean - I'm SO tired the day after! It has not affected your cardmaking! Your card is stunning - I love it! Thanks for being so inspiring! Hugs, and have a wonderful week!!!

Hi Miesje! What a beautiful card! I adore crocheted lace... whoever first thought of adding that to cards was genious, LOL. Your flowers are so pretty, esp. with the flower soft for dimension. =) Sounds like you had such a wonderful time with your brother. That's awesome. I wish my brother and I were as close as we once were. Have a great week! =)

I'm so glad you're having a good time with your brother. I miss my sisters so much. It's always a blessing to be with them.

Do I spy a bit of that beautiful Websters pages paper in your card? And that lace is beautiful! Such a pretty card, Miesje!

And thanks for filling in around the scripture... we always miss so much when we just pluck a verse from its context.

Hugs,
Lisa

Gorgeous card! I'm so glad you got time to visit with your brother. Sometimes real life is more important than making cards. Gasp... did I just say that...? Yes, I think I did. Hope that you have a wonderful, blessed week!
