Hello again, it is Sunday and I am so glad you could join us at Stampin' Sisters in Christ for another challenge based on scripture! This week I made 2 cards - I will explain why in a moment. First I will tell you that the challenge this week is to use wings and a biblical verse or quote on your creation.
You know that saying - all the best intentions? Well, I started my card for this challenge with plenty of time to spare, really I did. I found the sketch on CPS and saw the challenge on ODBD to lace something on the card so I did that too. Well that challenge is now over but at least I did it right? I used a stamp from ODBD too. Well, my card was close to finished but life happened and I did not finish till this morning (Saturday). I then quickly looked over the challenge instructions and noticed that I did NOT use a Bible verse and I had no wings! Yipes - quick grabbed a butterfly punch and put a butterfly on it. Thought I was just going to go with it.
But I couldn't do it. The instructions were to use a Bible verse so I made a really quick second card. This time I looked over at StampTV to see if they had a challenge posted that I could get my mojo from. There was a color block challenge that had the sketch for this one. So here is my second card for this week. I stamped the background flowers with Versamark and then put some Pearlex on it with a brush. So there you go - two cards for this week's post!

This week our sweet Chris is the hostess and the verse she chose is from Isaiah 40:31. Be sure to stop by our home page to read her wonderful testimony.
"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with winds like eagles."
I really do like this verse - I really like the book of Isaiah though. There are many times when I feel like my strength is just zapped by life. When putting one foot in front of the other is just very difficult. That has been my life lately, difficult things to deal with. I have to say though that I KNOW I would not be able to handle all this tough stuff if not for my faith. I am mounted on eagles wings and I will make it through this storm. I have friends who are praying for me and mine - those prayers are powerful and have kept me on those wonderful wings!

Oh goodness Miesje both your cards are beautiful! Your colors, details and verses/sentiments are so perfect! I have to laugh coz I'd do the same thing.... make another.... but the first one was wonderful too!!! We are lifting you and family up in prayer Miesje... I'm so glad you are being carried through these difficult days!!! Stay strong!
I love both of your cards Miesje!! They are both perfect for the challenge!! I just love your layouts, dp, colors, verses/sentiments, and butterflies!! I think we all doubt whether our cards are right for the challenge or not and I too would do the same thing.
I know you have had a rough time lately after your Mom's passing. I would too!! You are heavy on my heart and in my prayers!! I am praying for Jerry and all you are going through right now. May God carry you....Big hugs!
~Chris
what beautiful cards! I love both of them.
so sorry about the passing of your mother. i know that it is rough to lose a parent. my father died six years ago 9/14. there are days when i still wish that he could be here to see his great-grandkids.
I love them both and your first one would've been perfectly fine to enter, but your 2nd is just as wonderful!! Love those colors/papers. With all of God's comforting promises, I just don't know how people do it w/o Him.
Hugs,
Kris
Both are beautiful!

PS. I have some candy if you are interested :)
I like both of your cards, Miesje! They are very bright and cheery, and will bless the perfect person some day. And I can certainly relate to the 'this just isn't right' scenario. As a matter of fact, I'm struggling with that right now on my card for this very challenge! =)
Gorgeous cards, beautiful cheery colours. Thanks for joining in the Little Miss Muffet Challenge. hugs Donna x
