All our love

**Looking for the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge Card? It's down below, check it out.**

Oh I had fun with this one. I think I really liked working with these colors and the sketch challenge on StampTV really got me going! Then on Mark's Finest Paper blog they had the colors challenge this week to use red, orange, and yellow - another winner for me. So sunny and warm - perfect for Florida don't you think? I added the butterfly for Flutter By Wednesday who challenged us to use layers and, of course, a butterfly or fairy.

I popped up the flowers and the butterfly for the 3 dimensional look and used both the round and the octagon Nestabilities for the focal points. Thanks for stopping by again today!

Summer Memories

Gina K on StampTV put out a challenge to create a card based on a summer memory. So this is a card that I came up with. This was a quick card because I was out of town and just found out last night! Talk about some fast creating! I have another card in my brain - I hope I get to it!

The summer memory that this represents is from when I was a girl of about 8. We had just immigrated to the USA from The Netherlands and  had no money. We lived in a little row house in Pennsylvania right by the train station. There really was no yard and my brother (2 years younger) and I truly had very little. We could not speak English yet so making friends was difficult. Anyway (putting away the violin) there was a cherry tree not far from our alley back yard and there was a tire swing on it. I think that my brother and I spent hours on that swing and loved every minute of it. We did not feel poor - we felt like we were the luckiest ever! In Holland we had no yard at all - we were on the 3rd floor and would have had to walk to the park.

I used Therese's Sending Sunshine stamp set for this card and a few Copics to color. I had a neat Nestie border that I had not used before to set it off a little. The CS is Vibrant Violet and White - all GinaK Pure Luxury. Thanks for stopping by.

Sweet Butterflies

Gina's StampTV has put out a challenge to create a card based on a children book using the last release of stamps. This book was one I used with one of my granddaughters shortly after she came to live with my son and his wife. She was 4 years old and loved butterflies and sparkly things. So when I found this book I had to get it for her. She loved it. She is going to be 7 in a couple of weeks and her adoption is now finalized. Her birthday cards always have a butterfly and some kind of sparkle. So this card is for Kylie. I used Theresa's Sending Sunshine for the flowers. All the card-stock is GinaK and the sparkle is thanks to Sakuka pens.

God is!

I made this card for the Friday challenge over at StampTV, it was to use the polished stone technique. I have never done that one so I watched the video - realized I did not have about 3 or the things that I needed but thought (mistakenly) that I could substitute with things I had here. I will leave out all the details but the final result is that they are all in the recycle bin! Then I headed over to Splitcoast to see if there was another way to do this. They had one that called for embossing an image first so that is what I did. I clear embossed the images from Sending Sunshine - then I used paper towels and a couple of reinkers and the rubbing alcohol and whala - there it was. While it was drying and I was at the eye doctors the idea came to put the cute little deer in it. That is how the finished product has the little deer resting on the forest floor. The scene was just so serene to me that I had to find the right saying that conveyed what I wanted to express. I found that stamp in my old SU religious stamp sets. It fit.

PS: After my eye doctor appt. I ran in at Michaels and got the missing supplies so there will be a "correct" polished stone card in my future. Thanks for looking.

Birthday Gateway Card

I really struggled with this challenge for StampTV. The challenge was to make a gateway card. I found the DP from SU and really wanted to use it. I wasn't sure if I wanted to use the adorable birdbath from Sending Spring or the daisies from Spring Florals for the focal image. I went with the daisies and colored them in a non-typical daisy colors. The birdbath still wanted to be a part of the card so it ended up on the inside along with the birthday message. See the inset for the inside of the card. Thanks for stopping by.

Peaceful Birthday

I know, I know I said that I wasn't going to use purple but.... this card needed the violet! I also know that I have been very into cutting lately and it is another pop up the elements card. I just love these images from Theresa in her "Sending Sunshine" stamp set sold by GinaK. Those blossoms on the tree were just begging to be popped up. I also needed a birthday card for Saturday so here it is. I will also enter this card in the SSCC challenge #32 again since they wanted the popped up images - aha - they started me on this journey of cutting and finding the tiniest little bits of pop dots to get them to stand out just right! All that tiny cutting does leave time for reflection - a good thing for this holiest of weeks. This is also for the StampTV sketch challenge. This has been a good week of stamping for me, I love it when the mojo is running! Hope to have another one tomorrow.

Flopsy Tea Time

I had this bunny colored for quite a while waiting for just the right moment. I just found Flopsy (MFT) and realized that it would be perfect for a card for my friend who introduced me to peppermint tea. I now love tea and think of her every time I drink some. So a card was born. I used some scraps that I had and put on a new stamp from GinaK Sending Sunshine for the daffodil.  The card will go in the mail tomorrow, on it's way to WI. I popped up the bunny and the blooms in the flower and some of the words. I colored everything with my Copic markers. This card is for a layout challenge on StampTV and a challenge on SSCC to pop up the elements. Melanie also has a challenge up for using scraps. This card qualifies for that too.  Thanks for stopping by.
