Christmas Lights: Micah 5:2

Happy Sunday - a busy one for most of you I am sure. It certainly has been a busy week for me and a lot still left to do. If it is Sunday it must be time for the weekly challenge at Stampin' Sisters in Christ.

Today Peggysue is the challenge hostess and the scripture she chose is from the book of Micah 5:2.
"But you, Bethlehem-Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me the One to be Ruler in Israel, whose goings forth are from of old, from everlasting."
Is it not amazing that long before Jesus was born his coming was foretold? There is quite a lesson in that for us. As I said in the beginning of this post, we are all very busy right now. Let us not forget that the shopping and wrapping and cooking and all other holiday related activities are not as important as remembering every second of these days that the reason for all of it is the birth of our Lord! The advent wreath is a constant reminder to prepare ourselves for Him!

The challenge this week is to create a card or project using inchies. I have never used inchies before so it was a challenge for me! I do like how it turned out though.

Be sure to stop by my SSIC design sisters to see what they have to share this week:

Grace Nywening: Th-INK-ing of You
Lisa Hjulberg: The Craft's Meow (On break)
Patti J Gilliam: Cherish Each Precious Day
Peggysue Turner: Roses By My Window
Rebekka Reed: Diamond in the Rough
Randi Barret: A New Creation (On break)

Thanks for the visit.

Oh Meisje, this is just beautiful!! I just love your layout with the inchie squares and your coloring of the advent candles!!

Your words are so true. We all need to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. Today we had our Sunday School program. It was beautiful to see the kids reciting and singing about the nativity, the Christmas story and the gift He gave to us!
Merry Christmas my dear friend!
hugs,
Chris

Hello sweet sister! I think it was a great idea to use inchies in the background. And what a lovely image. The advent wreath is one of my favorite parts of the holiday, we have so many family traditions wrapped up in it, welcoming the Christ child. I am so glad you used that image!
