CSS - Technique Blog Hop - 9/23/2011

It is another StampTV blog hop. This time around we are showcasing a technique called shaker card. And that is what should be done - shake that card! We were also showcasing that wonderful season of Fall. If you have not tried it before then go to the StampTV archives and watch Gina's video. Easier than you think and fun!
You should have arrived from Sharri Seffens blog where I am sure you saw a creative marvel.

For both cards I used the newest StampTV kit called Falling for You. There is a nice variety of stamps in there. This first card I made the background paper with distress inks. I just swiped the inks on a pad, spritzed the pad with water and then put the GK Pure Luxury paper on it. Fun and easy and a little different. I found this awesome ribbon in my "Fall" craft box which means I brought after the season last year on super sale! Love it! The shaker frame and the mat is GKDesigns Fresh Asparagus. Some gold dots and a finished card.

This second card is not really Fall but it was a super fun card to make. I love my bird feeder and used some of my seeds to make this one. The DP was from Basic Grey Lime Rickey paper pack. The frame and mat are GKDesigns Blue Raspberry. A bow and a button and some white dots.

Your next stop is bound to give you some wonderful eye candy, be sure to give all your attention to the super creative Linda Payne! If you want to start at the beginning  or get lost along the way, just jump directly to the links for all of the wonderful creations on StampTV

Make sure to leave a comment as you hop along because on Tuesday morning (September 27), we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs who will get a stamp set of their choice valued up to $24.95!

As always, your comments really do mean a lot to me. Thank you for leaving them.

That ribbon on your first card is absolutely gorgeous my favourite though is the little chicken card, totally have to get this set, again ingenious use of shaker contents...You ladies are amazing!

Paulette S said...

I love both of your cards, especially the first with those die cut dangly leaves, I have some of them in my craft stash. Now I know what to do with them. A word of caution for seeds, they will eventually hatch into seed moths, its a battle I fight every day in my aviary, freezing them does slow it down, but I don't think anything fully stops it. Unless microwaving them, I have to do that when I make corn bags for aches and pains, because ALL grain comes with some kind of bug eggs in it,just like flour from the grocery. I freeze every bag.
