Miss You Mom: Matthew 7:7-8

Hello again, it is Sunday and I am so glad you could join us at Stampin' Sisters in Christ for another challenge based on scripture! Before we get on with it I would like to take a moment to think of all of our friends and family who were effected by the horrific tragedy of 9/11/2001.Thanks to the heroes of that day and the many heroes who followed.

This week the amazing Rebekka the hostess and the verse she chose is from Matthew 7: 7-8. Be sure to stop by our home page to read her wonderful testimony.

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."
My mother joined our Father in Heaven a week ago today. I made this card for her. She has suffered for the past 4 years with a lot of mini strokes, was in a wheelchair and could no longer take care of herself. My wonderful dad has been taking care of her at home all these years. Then 2 weeks ago she had a massive stroke and really did not want to go to a nursing home when it was obvious that dad could no longer care for her. She prayed and asked God to take her home. The door was opened for her. She is now free of the "cage" that held her body captive and free to fly! I love you mom!

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp.

Be sure to stop by my SSIC design sisters (listed on the sidebar) to see what they have to share this week:

It is always great to see you, thanks for the comments!

what a beautiful card and tribute. i'm so sorry for your loss but can totally relate. my dad died september 14, 2005. he'd had heart disease for about 18 years and had undergone many procedures that did extend his life. he went into the hospital on 8/20/05 and two weeks later he was transferred to a nursing home as it was obvious that he was not able to come home and my mom could no longer take care of him. he told my SIL that he wasn't staying there... he wasn't coming home, but he wasn't staying there either. She smiled at him and said that he was just there for rehab to get his strength back, but his heart was just too weak. He passed away just a couple of days after that convesation. He was ready to go Home and God took him.

Miesje, this is such a lovely card, and even lovelier because it's a tribute to your mom. Yes, she is unfettered in the arms of Jesus. Praise God! Maybe she'll meet my mom. I hope so!

Love and hugs,
