Another Autumn Memory

I had to do it. I tried to restrain myself from entering the GinaK search for next month Center Stage Designer but I lost the battle with myself! I just had to try it again since I had so much fun last month joining in all the preview and release party activities. I know that Gina won't choose me again but entering is fun.

This card's focus is the leaves that came from last month's StampTV kit called Autumn Splendor. I stamped them and then used some distress inks after which I sprayed the leaves with a little water and let them dry. I did quite a few leaves and this is the second project I used them on. I really love how they turned out. The saying in the label from Nina's Lovely Labels is from Melanie's A Year of Leaves

My memory is from one of my first fall trips to Door County WI and picking up the leaves to bring home to Florida to show my kids (little at the time) what the fall leaves looked like. They lost a lot of their color by the time they got here though. Anyway - I remember it and so do they.

I am so glad that you stopped by.

OOPS - I tried to copy and paste from an earlier post and all the comments from that one copied too and I somehow deleted that entire post - I sure messed that up! Sorry - no clue how to fix it!

Sunshine of my Life

**If you are looking for the Stampin' Sisters in Christ post for this week, please scroll down!**

This card was made for my dear husband of 38 years. He is so supportive of my stamping just as he was of my cross-stitching and sewing  and quilting and every other creative outlet I have explored over the years. He even reads my blog {Hi Honey!} No it is not our anniversary or any other special occasion - just a thanks to God for staying with us through our ups and downs and bringing us to where we are today. An incredibly happy couple who love each other! I know - kind of mushy - but all true.

There are 4 challenges for this card first  was the StampTV inspiration challenge, and for Speedy's Friends Challenge which was for a thank you card. This card is a thank you! Also for Dutch Dare which is for anything goes. And last but not least for Simon Says Stamps which was to make a card based on a song. Well it had to be a love song and it was going to be "I just called to say I love you" which he used to sing all the time when he called me I really made this thinking of the song "You are the Sunshine of my life" which is what he is to me and I know that I am to him.

Thanks for stopping by - don't forget to leave a comment - I love hearing from you.

Butterfly Garden

Now this was a fun card! I say that a lot don't I? Well, it was. One of my favorite stamp sets is "A year of flowers" by Melanie and sold by GinaKDesigns. Then yesterday a package came in the mail with some new Basic Gray paper packs and in there was this paper in the Porcelain Paper Pad. Is that not the most wonderful print? I fell in love with it and it cried out to me to be paired with the rose! So I made this for a couple of challenges. The butterfly was added for the Stamp TV challenge this week and the sketch layout was for Sketch Girl18. Perfect for what I wanted. I also used Nina's Lovely Labels. I used both A year of flowers and pressed flowers which made the card really easy. Like two set stamping that I used to do. I highlighted the rose with a couple of Copic markers. I snagged the butterfly from Spring Mix. There are three buttons and I put a pink dewdrop in the center of those buttons for a different look. It worked. I appreciate you coming by. Have a great rest of the week.

Day With Blessings

Happy Sunday! I have been busy at my craft table with not enough time at the computer to get the cards up. I hope to get caught up some today since my housework and yard-work was done yesterday. It was a glorious day here yesterday with lots of sunshine and warm Florida breezes. Today is kind of overcast and rain is moving it - great day to be working in my "Craft Room with a View"! This card was made for the April release sketch challenge on StampTV. I wanted to try to get a vintage look which is not my norm. I found the tutorial on making a tissue paper flower on Splitcoaststampers and it was the perfect card to try it with. I cut out part of the glasses from Timeless Treasures so that it looks like there are actual lenses in it. That came out better than I thought it would. The DP was from Basic Grey's Green at Heart and the CS is Fresh Asparagus from GKD. Thanks for coming by.

Wishing Love

I have always liked brown and yellow together and I thought this would make a nice CAS (clean and simple) anniversary card. The paper is SU Barely Banana and the designer paper is from Como Cricket's Earth Love. This card was for the StampTV release party challenge and for this week's Stamping Sister's in Christ challenge. The stamps I used are Lovely Labels - I use these a lot, they are so versatile and fun to use. Thanks for stopping by, I love your visits.

Birthday Blessing

I truly love doing the challenges on StampTV. For one thing, it keeps me stamping and excited about it. There are also some wonderful perks such as winning free stamps. This morning I won one of the soon to be released stamp sets just for leaving a comment. I am really excited! So tonight I made a card for the sketch challenge on StampTV. I used very powerful colors of Blank Onyx and Passionate Pink. This card probably falls under the category of a CAS (clean and simple) card. I used the wonderful Lovely Labels stamp set. I do like the way it turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

Easter Blessings

My goodness this card was a long time in the making. It started out as a purple challenge last week, didn't like it so put it aside. Then I had a different Lovely Label stamp all inked and colored - - didn't like it and put it aside. Then tonight I looked at the challenge on StampTV and it was to use diamonds. Eureka! Out came my cuttlebug for the diamond background - found the Lovely Label that had teeny diamonds in it and tilted it so that it was also a diamond. Then I remembered the JUGS challenge for this week and it all came together. I stamped the flower image from GinaK Spring Florals and cut it out very carefully. I also colored the flowers and the teeny, tiny diamonds with Copics. Whew! Now I am exhausted!

Joys and Blessings

It is almost Friday - Yippie! My best friend left today after a wonderful visit - I miss her. So I made a card just thinking of her and saying a prayer for her safe journey home. So this card if for Anne. I will actually send it in snail mail. I am sending her little joys and blessings too - we can't have enough of those! I also made this card for a Blast from the Past challenge on StampTV. The challenge was to use spotlighting. I haven't done this in a while and it was fun. I also used it for the SSCC #28 challenge. I used the Lovely Labels stamp set that Nina designed - I love that set. The card stock was Black Onyx, Rocket Red and White - all from Gina K. Thanks for looking!

Howdy

This was a card a made for just because I wanted to use my new Lovely Labels by Nina. So I stamped one and then just played around with it until something came together. It is not great but I had fun doing it.
