Mom's Tulips

My family immigrated to the USA when I was 8 years old. The Dutch is still in my though! This is the card I will give to my mother on Mother's Day. She has had several strokes and is in the early stages of Alzheimer's but does still have the love of tulips. In fact she is remembering more in Dutch than in English. I made this card for the StampTV color challenge which was to use blue, red and yellow. It is also for the Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge #35 which was to use flowers. And, last but not least, it was for the Flutter By Wednesday challenge which I just discovered! The polka dot paper is from the October Afternoon paper pack called Report Card. I cut out some of the tulip petals and popped them up to give them some dimension.  Thanks for stopping by on this rainy day.

Such a bright, happy card! Great layout, nice cutout with the tulips gracefully placed over the opening. Thanks for participating in the Stampin' Sisters in Christ challenge, we look forward to seeing your creation next week!

Gorgeous! I love tulips, too, and GinaK Designs! And I love your "view" (blog header)...that's my idea of paradise!

When you get a moment, could you go back and repost your card using Inlinkz? We're trying to switch over. I apologize for the inconvenience. http://stampinsistersinchrist.blogspot.com/2010/04/challenge-35-isaiah-408.html

Thanks so much,
Lisa

Miesje, This is one of my favorite GKD stamp sets. I don't have it so I have to admire it from afar! The polka dots with the yellow is so fresh for spring. Thanks for the opportunity to see your art by playing along with us at SSCC.
