Peaceful Birthday
I know, I know I said that I wasn't going to use purple but.... this card needed the violet! I also know that I have been very into cutting lately and it is another pop up the elements card. I just love these images from Theresa in her "Sending Sunshine" stamp set sold by GinaK. Those blossoms on the tree were just begging to be popped up. I also needed a birthday card for Saturday so here it is. I will also enter this card in the SSCC challenge #32 again since they wanted the popped up images - aha - they started me on this journey of cutting and finding the tiniest little bits of pop dots to get them to stand out just right! All that tiny cutting does leave time for reflection - a good thing for this holiest of weeks. This is also for the StampTV sketch challenge. This has been a good week of stamping for me, I love it when the mojo is running! Hope to have another one tomorrow.

Thanks Sew Much
I really liked the way this card turned out. I have made a lot of cards with pinks and purples lately (gee, must be the season of Lent in my heart). So when the challenge came from Gina on StampTV to make a card with pinks I was not prepared to be excited about it. So I was happily surprised to watch it come together. Isn't it neat when a card seems to make itself and all the elements just flow together? The basket of yarn was fun to color with my Copics. I used designer paper from Cosmo and the pink is Pure Luxury from GinaK. I scattered a few pearls on the cuttlebugged background too.The layout is for the CPS challenge this week. This card is also for Nina's Blog Anniversary and so the stamps are from Nina Bracket called Nana's Needlework. Great set! Thanks for stopping by.

Flopsy Tea Time
I had this bunny colored for quite a while waiting for just the right moment. I just found Flopsy (MFT) and realized that it would be perfect for a card for my friend who introduced me to peppermint tea. I now love tea and think of her every time I drink some. So a card was born. I used some scraps that I had and put on a new stamp from GinaK Sending Sunshine for the daffodil. The card will go in the mail tomorrow, on it's way to WI. I popped up the bunny and the blooms in the flower and some of the words. I colored everything with my Copic markers. This card is for a layout challenge on StampTV and a challenge on SSCC to pop up the elements. Melanie also has a challenge up for using scraps. This card qualifies for that too. Thanks for stopping by.

Birthday Message
I know that I have used a lot of purple lately - I must say that the Vibrant Violet card stock from GinaK is absolutely wonderful. It is slightly textured and so rich looking. The card I made today is for several challenges. This being Holy Week and the fact that I will be at church 4 times I may not have many opportunities to and/or post. This card was made with the new StampTV stamp set called Spring Mix. It has so many wonderful images in it. The first challenge is for the color challenge on StampTV, the layout of the card is for the Card Patterns Sketch Challenge and on Stamping Sisters in Christ the challenge was to pop up some elements of the card, called Paper Tole technique. So here is my card for the 3 challenges. Thanks for stopping by and have a blessed Easter week.

Sewn Birthday
This is the fist time I have used my Janome Sew Mini. It took a little while to figure out how to use it on the card but I did it. Thanks Gina for the StampTV lesson and the Blast from the Past challenge. I used a stamp from a couple of different new stamp sets from GinaK. I used the flower Spring Mix and a sentiment from Nana's Needlework Sentiments. I used the patterned paper from the new kioshi paper pack from Basic Grey. I was also checking out Nina's blog today and she is challenging us to make a CAS card. Ummm - does this qualify? I will give it a try at least.

Thanks!
Today I have two cards to share with you only because I ran out of time last night! I was having too much fun stamping to sit at the computer. The first card is called Thanks. It was made for my neighbor who is just the sweetest 85 year old man. He gave me my first orchid so I chose that stamp to highlight the card. He stopped by tonight to tell me how much he liked the card. So here is the card made for a StampTV challenge that was to make a card with an Asian flair. I did like how it turned out. I used the Lovely Shelf stamp set from GinaK.
The next card I made tonight and I made it for my best Bud in WI - it was also for the StampTV sketch challenge. I got my order of stamps in and this is just too much fun. I love them all! I used the paper that came with the stamp set - the only thing is that I wanted to use just a little bit since I can't find it online to buy more! The stamp set I used was Happy Spring. I did a lot of paper piecing with this one and my wonderful Nestibilities. A few of my Copics to just lightly color in. It was a fun card to make.

Wishing Love
I have always liked brown and yellow together and I thought this would make a nice CAS (clean and simple) anniversary card. The paper is SU Barely Banana and the designer paper is from Como Cricket's Earth Love. This card was for the StampTV release party challenge and for this week's Stamping Sister's in Christ challenge. The stamps I used are Lovely Labels - I use these a lot, they are so versatile and fun to use. Thanks for stopping by, I love your visits.

Lotsa Green
It does seem like I have done several monochromatic cards lately and there is another one in process on my work table. This one was all greens for a Challenge on StampTV - and the layout is for CPS. I found the border punch at Target this weekend - it is always fun to use something new. The green is Wild Wasabi from SU and the stamp is GinaK's Spring Florals. I used a cuttlebug folder too. It was not a difficult card to make, in fact I did this one pretty quick (for me). I often agonize over a card for quite a while. This one just came together very quickly. The one on the table is taking a little longer. I hope to post that one tomorrow night. Anyway - here it is.

Birthday Blessing
I truly love doing the challenges on StampTV. For one thing, it keeps me stamping and excited about it. There are also some wonderful perks such as winning free stamps. This morning I won one of the soon to be released stamp sets just for leaving a comment. I am really excited! So tonight I made a card for the sketch challenge on StampTV. I used very powerful colors of Blank Onyx and Passionate Pink. This card probably falls under the category of a CAS (clean and simple) card. I used the wonderful Lovely Labels stamp set. I do like the way it turned out. Thanks for stopping by.

Wonderful You
Okay - so here is the story. I was digging through my closet (wish I could have found some money for the upcoming GinaK release) looking for something for this challenge on StampTV when lo and behold (do I sound Irish or what?!) I found an OLD jacket that still had shoulder pads in it. Well - the button(s) were removed by me and the jacket went into the Goodwill bag. What I won't do for a micro chance at free stamps! LOL I used a sketch challenge from Card Patterns Sketch55 which was a bit out of my comfort zone. The wonderful designer paper was from the Earth Love paper pack from Cosmo Cricket and the card itself is the fabulous Pure Luxury Creme de Mint. The stamps are from GinaK called Heartily Yours designed by Nina B. I love this set. Thanks for stopping by. Company arriving soon but will stamp when I can.

Thanks with a T
I made this card for a special thanks for a special friend. If you follow this blog at all you know that my oldest son and his wife have recently adopted 3 little girls - well this adoption gives them 6 children, all adopted and all are ages 8 and under. So, to shorten this story a little, a friend of mine from work is making all 6 of the children t-shirts with their initials and so I made this card for my friend Mary to thank her for making the t-shirts for my grandchildren. I also made this as a challenge for StampTV. The challenge was to use the colors yellow, wine, and kraft. I found the designer paper in my huge supply of paper that I have been gathering for years. I paper-pieced the tee shirt and used the cuttlebug folder for the circle background. Thanks so much for looking. Have a good week. This sketch is loosely based on the sketch challenge this week from CPS Card Sketches.

Lift Up
Now this card was made for a specific person - my husband. He is so supportive of my stamping and sometimes I just have to make a card for him. This card was made for the Blast from the past challenge on StampTV. The challenge was to use shaving cream for the background. That was fun to do. My hands did get kind of inky though. I used the Eclectic Summer Stamp set and one of my wonderful Nesties. Thanks for stopping by.
Train Dreaming
This card was only made for a challenge on StampTV.I have been wanting to use the train stamp so this was how I chose to use it. I am sure that I will think of someone to send it to. The DP was something I won at a stamping get together a long time ago. It just screamed "TRAIN" and masculine. I know that the train is a little crooked but, as Jennie said, the train is going around the corner. Sound good to me! I used Copics to color the train and a few embellishments.

Easter Blessings
My goodness this card was a long time in the making. It started out as a purple challenge last week, didn't like it so put it aside. Then I had a different Lovely Label stamp all inked and colored - - didn't like it and put it aside. Then tonight I looked at the challenge on StampTV and it was to use diamonds. Eureka! Out came my cuttlebug for the diamond background - found the Lovely Label that had teeny diamonds in it and tilted it so that it was also a diamond. Then I remembered the JUGS challenge for this week and it all came together. I stamped the flower image from GinaK Spring Florals and cut it out very carefully. I also colored the flowers and the teeny, tiny diamonds with Copics. Whew! Now I am exhausted!

Pink Thanks
What a lovely weekend it was here. Sunny Florida was finally sunny and a little warmth is creeping back in. I spent time outside with the flowers and and enjoying the wonderful sun before heading back to work tomorrow. This is my card for the StampTV Monday color challenge to use only pink and white. Whew - I did it. Lots and lots of pink! I used SU Pixie Pink and Pretty in Pink along with some of the Digital designer paper from GinaK. The stamps are from the Eclectic Summer set from GinaK. I used Copics to color the flowers and a few beads and ribbon I had in my stash of embelishments. I also used the Argyle Cuttlebug folder and paper pieced the basket holding the flowers. This card is also the sketch challenge over at The Sweet Stop.I really love it when I can but a card on two sites. Well, I have a little time left tonight so I will see if I can come up with anything else. Until next time....

Joys and Blessings
It is almost Friday - Yippie! My best friend left today after a wonderful visit - I miss her. So I made a card just thinking of her and saying a prayer for her safe journey home. So this card if for Anne. I will actually send it in snail mail. I am sending her little joys and blessings too - we can't have enough of those! I also made this card for a Blast from the Past challenge on StampTV. The challenge was to use spotlighting. I haven't done this in a while and it was fun. I also used it for the SSCC #28 challenge. I used the Lovely Labels stamp set that Nina designed - I love that set. The card stock was Black Onyx, Rocket Red and White - all from Gina K. Thanks for looking!

Owl be Here
I have always loved these owls and right now I needed this saying to send to one of my children. So I just had to use this for the sketch challenge on StampTV. I used some brown and some vanilla and some Pure Luxury green apple. I embossed the background and colored the image using Copics and some shiny paint for the eggs. A few beads for the flowers and eyes.

Praise
I made this card for a few challenges. The first was for the Monday color challenge on StampTV. The challenge was to use metallic paper. I used the metallic paper and Pearlex for the glittery look. The second was for Sketch Girl challenge # 13. I was so excited to learn that I won the last one so I just had to do try it again! I also entered in Stampin Sisters for Christ - thanking God for the opportunities that I have. I used the Pressed Flower set from GinaK for both the background and the main image. The cardstock was all from Gina K and the tag was from Spellbinders.
